What this calculator does
Deducts liabilities and valid bequests (up to 1/3), assigns Quranic fixed fractional shares (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 2/3, 1/3, 1/6), computes male-to-female 2:1 residuary shares, and applies Awl (proportional reduction) or Radd (return) mathematically.
Formula & method
Estate = Net (Total − Debts − Wasiyyah); Shares = Fixed (Ashab al-Furud) + Residuary (Asaba) with Awl/Radd normalization.
Assumptions & notes
- Settles outstanding debts, funeral costs, and Zakat first.
- Wasiyyah (bequests to non-heirs) cannot exceed one-third of the remaining estate.
